The Quantocks

Quantocks Dog Friendly Hotels

The Editor Says: What an utterly fabulous area The Quantocks is for dogs; a tail-wagging frenzy of canine countryside awesomeness. Not only does it have the wonderful Coleridge Way which runs from Nether Stowey to Porlock, but many of the beaches allow four legged visitors all year (Watchet and Doniford Beach are examples). Some local attractions also cater for canine needs, with the West Somerset Railway between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead one of the most popular. Mind you, I’ve been on a train before and it frightened me witless to start with. But that’s another story.
